It is not something easy or comfortable to share so please be patient with me

But as long as I’m still here I’m going to fight it. Fight for my sobriety. Fight for my kids. Hell, it’s a fight for my life. Just know that if you’re like me and suffering in silence, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. If there’s one thing that is a blessing of addiction its the gift of unity that binds us all together. A family like no other that guides, mentors, gives, and supports one another so freely. Strangers all fighting the same fight. So keep fighting and I’ll be right here fighting too.

Whether your addiction is alcohol, food, drugs, sex, gambling, spending, or something else, it’s about seeking escape from fear & pain by trying to numb them

The biggest lesson for me so far is the fact that the ONLY thing I can control is me. And that’s on my good days 😉 Most of us know that intellectually. But until we really GET it & embrace it, we live in fear, anger, resentment, self pity, envy, ego, blame, worry, regret, & sadness. We get so used to living this way, we often don’t even realize our toxic state.

We are all flawed. We don’t need leaders. We need each other.
